The authorization is denied at first. It is granted later, but the film is prohibited to minors under 18. The film, directed by Gian Luigi Polidoro, is still one of the most famous cases of film seizure due to offence to public decency. When the film is released, a criminal proceeding for “obscene performances, corruption of minors and others” is initiated. Finally, a sentence of three months in prison is delivered to some members of the artistic and technical crew. On the Second Edition of the film, presented with further cuts, in addition to those imposed by the Criminal Court of Rome, the age limit is reduce to 14 years.
