L’ultima tentazione di Cristo (The Last Temptation of Christ)

Direction: Martin Scorsese

The Committee by majority authorize the film public programming, prohibiting it to minors under 14, due to the “scenes of violence that, while being justified by the theme, are so realistic that they disturbs minors’ sensitivity”. A large number of protests follow the release in cinemas, including a petition by the citizens for the withdrawal of the film, which is considered sacrilegious. On the Second edition, presented with numerous cuts, the prohibition is revoked.
