Considered the “cruel and repulsive” nature of some sequences, the Review Committee authorize the release of the film, but it is prohibited to minors under 16. It also request the cut of all the close-ups of the vampire. This request, without a precise indication of the scenes to eliminate, creates a number of misunderstandings: the Police Headquarters of Frosinone, for example, request the cut of more film meters. The Production Company, in order to avoid further dubious interpretations, ask the Committee to re-examine the film and write a more precise record. The Second edition, presented with further changes in 2008, is authorized without any age limits.
