Le calde notti di Poppea (Poppea’s Hot Nights)

Direction: James Reed (Guido Malatesta)

The Committee, having obtained the agreement of the producers for cutting some scenes, authorizes the public screening of the film with a viewing prohibition for minors under the age of 18. Following its general theatrical release, the Public Prosecutor's Office of Rome orders its seizure due to its offense to morality and decency, and the director and the producer/distributor are issued with an indictment. The second version, presented in 1994 with minimal modifications, obtains the definitive removal of the prohibition.
