The film obtained the authorization for public screening, upon request that a cut would be made and that children 14 and under would be restricted from viewing; the restriction was motivated by the "theme of the film and the repeated references to drug use and prostitution". The Appeal Committee revoked the age restriction after three more scenes were cut.
