The Review Committee initially suspended the decision waiting for the six requested cuts to be made. It then issued the authorization for public screening, provided that children 18 and under would be restricted from viewing “for the many scenes of violence and horror”. The 2nd Edition, presented with some changes, obtained a reduction of the age restriction to children 14 and under, given the persistence of “some scenes of violence and, above all, the final scene of collective suicide”.
