The film received the authorization for public projection, provided that children 18 and under would be restricted from viewing. The restriction was motivated by the "climate of terror, of violence, and for the scary, bloody scenes deriving from the killing of various people and for some sequences of eroticism." The 2nd Edition obtained a reduction of the age restriction to children 14 and under.
