The first edition the film, presented with the title “Eros and Thanatos”, was denied the authorization for public screening, because it was considered an offense to good morals; the same opinion was confirmed at the appeal stage. A new edition with the elimination of four sequences was authorized for public programming, provided that children 18 and younger would be restricted from viewing.
