The film, based on the homonymous novel by Pier Paolo Pasolini, is authorized for public programming, provided that it is prohibited to minors under 16 and that the frames “showing police hydrants throwing water against hospitalized patients” are eliminated. The Second edition, presented with minimal changes in 1996, is declared appropriate for everyone, without any age limits.
